Whenever a bond is required, the court may order and accept, in lieu thereof, a deposit for the full amount of the bond.
Siempre que se requiera la prestación de una fianza, el tribunal podrá ordenar y aceptar que en su lugar se efectúe un depósito por el total de la fianza fijada.
What this rule doesQué hace esta regla
One sentence: whenever a bond is required, the court may order and accept, in lieu thereof, a deposit for the full amount of the bond.
Three things follow from the words. It is permissive — the court may. It applies whenever a bond is required, so it is available across the whole chapter and beyond it, wherever these rules call for security. And it must be the full amount; a partial deposit is not a partial bond.
Everything Rules 69.1, 69.2, 69.4 and 69.7 exist to test — is the surety solvent, is the property really worth that, has a judge approved it — becomes unnecessary when the money is simply on deposit.
And Rule 69.7 says so expressly. Court officers may not accept a bond without a judge’s approval, except for the bond posted under this rule.

De las palabras se siguen tres cosas. Es facultativo: el tribunal podrá. Aplica siempre que se requiera una fianza, de modo que está disponible en todo el capítulo y más allá, dondequiera que estas reglas exijan garantía. Y debe ser el importe total: un depósito parcial no es una fianza parcial.
Todo lo que las Reglas 69.1, 69.2, 69.4 y 69.7 existen para comprobar —si el fiador es solvente, si el bien vale eso, si lo aprobó un juez— se vuelve innecesario cuando el dinero sencillamente está depositado.
Y la Regla 69.7 lo dice expresamente. Los funcionarios del tribunal no pueden aceptar una fianza sin aprobación del juez, salvo la prestada bajo esta regla.
