A bond shall be executed on condition that if the claimant fails to justify his or her claim, the claimant shall return the property to the attaching officer, to the officer’s successor, or to the depositary of the property, and shall be liable for any damage or impairment sustained by the property, including total loss. The claimant shall likewise pay such other compensation as the court deems fair and reasonable if such compensation is appropriate under the specific facts of the case.
If the claimant prevails, the bond shall be exonerated.
La fianza se constituirá con la condición de que si la parte reclamante no logra justificar su derecho, devolverá la propiedad al funcionario o funcionaria que haya efectuado el embargo, al sucesor o sucesora de éste o al depositario o depositaria de los bienes, y deberá responder por cualquier deterioro o menoscabo que haya sufrido la propiedad, incluso por su pérdida total. Asimismo, la parte reclamante satisfará cualquier otra compensación que el tribunal estime justa y razonable, si ésta procede según los hechos específicos del caso.
Si la parte reclamante logra justificar su derecho, se cancelará la fianza.

The bond required by Rule 21.6 is not open-ended. This rule states exactly what it is conditioned on.
If the claimant fails to justify the claim, three obligations follow. The claimant returns the property — to the attaching officer, that officer’s successor, or the depositary. The claimant is liable for any damage or impairment sustained by the property, including total loss. And the claimant pays such other compensation as the court deems fair and reasonable, if appropriate on the specific facts.
That third element is discretionary and fact-bound, which is the point: the harm from wrongly removing property from an attachment is not always measurable as damage to the thing itself.
The closing sentence is short and complete: if the claimant prevails, the bond shall be exonerated. Nothing further is required — no separate motion is described, and the exoneration follows the outcome.
La fianza que exige la Regla 21.6 no es abierta. Esta regla dice exactamente a qué está condicionada.
Si quien reclama no justifica su reclamación, siguen tres obligaciones. Devuelve los bienes al funcionario que embargó, a su sucesor, o al depositario. Responde por todo daño o menoscabo sufrido por los bienes, incluida la pérdida total. Y paga la demás compensación que el tribunal estime justa y razonable, si procede según los hechos concretos.
Ese tercer elemento es discrecional y ligado a los hechos, que es el punto: el daño de sacar indebidamente unos bienes de un embargo no siempre se mide como daño a la cosa misma.
La oración final es breve y completa: si quien reclama prevalece, la fianza será exonerada. No se exige nada más: no se describe moción aparte, y la exoneración sigue al resultado.
