The complaint or ex parte petition must be filed in court with the following documents:
(a)A certified, legible, and complete copy of the judgment whose recognition and enforcement is sought; the copy must meet the requirements established in the Rules of Evidence.
(b)A true and exact translation of the judgment into Spanish if it was not originally drafted in Spanish or in English.
La demanda o la solicitud ex parte deberá presentarse al tribunal acompañada de los documentos siguientes:
(a)Copia certificada, legible, completa y en cumplimiento con los requisitos de las Reglas de Evidencia de la sentencia cuya convalidación y reconocimiento se solicita.
(b)Traducción fiel y exacta al idioma español de la sentencia en caso de no haber sido redactada originalmente en el idioma español o en el idioma inglés.

(a) The judgment itself. A certified, legible, and complete copy of the judgment whose recognition and enforcement is sought. The copy must meet the requirements established in the Rules of Evidence — authentication of a foreign public record is an evidentiary question, and the rule sends you there rather than restating it.
(b) A translation, sometimes. A true and exact translation of the judgment into Spanish is required if it was not originally drafted in Spanish or in English. An English-language judgment needs no translation, which reflects that both languages are official in the courts of Puerto Rico.
The list is short, but each item does real work. "Complete" excludes an excerpt. "Legible" excludes a poor scan. And "true and exact" sets the standard for the translation.
(a) La sentencia. Una copia certificada, legible y completa de la sentencia cuyo reconocimiento y ejecución se solicita. La copia debe cumplir los requisitos de las Reglas de Evidencia: la autenticación de un documento público extranjero es cuestión evidenciaria, y la regla remite allí en vez de repetirla.
(b) Traducción, a veces. Se exige una traducción fiel y exacta de la sentencia al españolsi no fue redactada originalmente en español o en inglés. La sentencia en inglés no necesita traducción, lo que refleja que ambos idiomas son oficiales en los tribunales de Puerto Rico.
La lista es breve, pero cada palabra trabaja. "Completa" excluye un extracto. "Legible" excluye un escaneo malo. Y "fiel y exacta" fija el estándar de la traducción.
