Text size

This rule shall become effective on January 1, 2006, and shall govern the content and use of the Nebraska Juror Qualification Form in all district and county courts of the State of Nebraska.

Plain-English Summary

Article 10 exists to standardize a single document: the form Nebraska uses to screen potential jurors for basic eligibility. Section 6-1001 opens the article the way a scope clause typically does, fixing January 1, 2006 as the date the rule took effect and stating that it governs the content and use of the Nebraska Juror Qualification Form in every district and county court in the state.

That statewide reach matters. Rather than each county court designing its own qualification questions, § 6-1001 sets up a single rule — filled in by §§ 6-1002 through 6-1004 — that applies the same form, with the same confidentiality handling, across Nebraska’s district and county courts.
