Periods shorter than seven days skip weekends and holidays; longer ones count every day and move only the last. Summary-judgment periods are the exception: CR 56(c) counts them in calendar days. Service by mail adds three days. Post-trial motions are due in 10 days. Every result shows its work.

This tool applies Washington’s legal holidays under RCW 1.16.050: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Native American Heritage Day (the day after Thanksgiving) and Christmas. A holiday on a Saturday is observed the Friday before, one on a Sunday the Monday after. Columbus Day is not a holiday. A court closed by emergency order under GR 21 also extends a deadline; add any such day here as YYYY-MM-DD.
