§ 1121.Uniform Civil Remedies For Unauthorized Disclosure of Intimate Images Act - Short Title

Section 1121 gives a new law its name: the Uniform Civil Remedies for Unauthorized Disclosure of Intimate Images Act. The Oklahoma Legislature enacted it in 2026, and it takes effect November 1, 2026 — it is not in force yet as of this writing.

The Act, spanning Sections 1121 through 1129, creates a civil cause of action for a person depicted in an intimate image against someone who discloses or threatens to disclose that image without consent, when the image was private and the discloser knew what it showed. It defines the key terms, carves out exceptions for law enforcement, legal proceedings, matters of public concern, and infrastructure providers, protects a plaintiff's identity in court filings, sets damages and fee-shifting rules, and fixes a four-year limitations period tolled for minors. This section itself does no more than establish the Act's short title, the name courts and litigants will use to cite it once it takes effect.
