§ 2107.Short title

Every uniform act typically closes, or in this case nearly closes, with a short-title provision, and this is that clause. It states that this title may be cited as the Uniform Federal Lien Registration Act, giving Sections 2100 through 2107 a collective name that stands in for the whole set whenever a court opinion, a treatise, a filing office memo, or another state's version of the same act needs to refer to it.

California is one of several states that adopted this model act, drafted to give federal tax liens, and the handful of other federal liens Section 2100 reaches, a filing and indexing system that behaves the same way from state to state. The short title makes that lineage visible: naming the act ties California's Title 7 back to the uniform act it implements, reinforcing the uniformity-of-construction instruction in Section 2106 by making the source of that instruction easy to identify by name.
