Plain-English Summary

This section spells out what a petition to confirm, correct, or vacate an award must contain so the court has what it needs to rule. The petition has to set forth the substance of, or attach a copy of, the agreement to arbitrate -- unless the petitioner is disputing that any such agreement exists. It has to name the arbitrators, since their conduct and authority are often central to a correction or vacation request. And it has to set forth or attach the award itself, along with any written opinion the arbitrators issued explaining it.
