Full Text of Rule 3034
Plain-English Summary
This rule gives the consensual alternative to litigating a revival. In the agreement, the parties state that the lien of an identified judgment is to be revived and authorize the prothonotary to enter a judgment of revival in the judgment index for the agreed amount plus costs.
The Official Note points to the extra requirements when the agreement also consolidates two or more judgments against the same person. Because it rests on consent, the agreement lets a cooperative debtor and creditor renew a lien quickly, without service of a writ or a default proceeding.
