Plain-English Summary

A special adjudicator does not go unpaid, and the arrangement is direct: the court sets the compensation and directs where it comes from, whether that is the parties themselves or a fund or property already before the court.

If a party ordered to pay does not, the adjudicator is not left without recourse — the rule entitles the adjudicator to a writ of execution against the noncomplying party.
