§ 706.129.Copies of Forms Available At Levying Officer's Office

A debtor doesn't need a lawyer, or even the internet, to get the paperwork needed to fight a wage garnishment. Section 706.129 requires the levying officer's office to keep copies of the claim of exemption and financial statement forms on hand, available to anyone who wants to make a claim, at no charge.

That access matters because employers are only required to deliver these forms to the employee once, at the time of service under § 706.104. If a debtor loses those copies, or needs a fresh set later, the levying officer's office is the backstop.
