Plain-English Summary

Whether it's a certificate of sale under § 701.650 or a deed of sale under § 701.660, the document has to contain the same core information. Section 701.670 lists five required elements: the title of the court where the judgment was entered along with the cause and case number, the date the judgment was entered and any subsequent renewals and where those entries appear in the court's records, the judgment creditor's name and address and the judgment debtor's name and last known address, a description of the property sold, and the date of the sale.

That standard content lets anyone examining the document later — a title company, a future buyer, or a court resolving a dispute — trace the sale back to the judgment and the property without needing separate records.
