Full Text of § 1268.320
Plain-English Summary
If § 1268.310 marks the start of the interest clock, this section marks its end -- and like the start date, the end date depends on which category of payment applies and picks whichever comes earliest.
For money the agency deposited before judgment, under the pre-judgment deposit article, interest stops the moment the person entitled to it withdraws that amount -- not when it was deposited, but when it was taken out. For money deposited after judgment under § 1268.110, interest stops on the date of that deposit itself, since the deposit is treated as the equivalent of payment once made. And for any amount paid directly to the person entitled to it, interest stops on the date of that payment.
Because the section picks the earliest of these events, a property owner can't collect interest twice on the same money once one of these triggers has occurred.
