§ 1141.31.Effective Date

This section is a piece of legislative history rather than a rule anyone applies today. It fixed the date this chapter's judicial arbitration program became operative, July 1, 1979, and required the Judicial Council to have its arbitration practice and procedure rules, the rules § 1141.14 calls for, adopted before that, no later than March 31, 1979.

Both dates are decades in the past, and the chapter has been in continuous operation, and repeatedly amended, ever since. Section 1141.31 remains in the code as a marker of when the program began, not as anything a court or party needs to apply in a case today.
